Guess who's back, back again? Faith is back, kills a fiend.
Well, that ain't true actually. First of all "fiend" doesn't rhyme with "again". Second, Faith only kills some of your everynight vampires in this ep. The big kill of the episode goes to Angelus, who gets rid of that dastardly Beast for us.
But we begin, oh so fitting, were we ended. You'll remember a few weeks back, Cordy (or, more correctly, "Cordy" ) killed Lilah. Lilah's real dead. And no one suspects "Cordy" since they find Angelus feeding off of her (guess they didn't notice the non-vampirey stab wound in her gut). So to make sure she won't become a creature of the night, Wesley has to chop Lilah's head off which leads to some beautiful soul searching and the sort of talking to dead people that only people on TV do (I actually thought it was an excellent scene, with some great acting from Denisof and Romanov. My sarcastic tone is only part of the way I write. Tonight, at least).
Then Angelus finds The Beast, Angelus escapes The Beast, "Cordy" gets pissed at The Beast and "Cordy" makes out with The Beast (yuck!).
Then we get to the good stuff: Faith. Oh, how glorious it is to see you again, you hot, horny badass slayer of vam-pyres. She is, naturally, the meanest in the prison yard, and when much uglier inmate tries to stab her Bringer-style, she gets repayed with a crushed nose. Dushku still has the moves. She looks even harder and more determined than before. More introverted anger, less giddy "the-world's-my-playground-but-my-soul-is-broken". Which is, of course, exactly like it should be.
Wes comes up with the idea that Faith is their only way to capture Angelus (I wonder if he even thought of calling Buffy for help before breaking Faith out. Sure, she's in the middle of stopping the apocalypse as well, but as far as we know, Wes doesn't know that). And when Faith hears Angelus is on the loose, she goes through two windows and down a couple of stories (Wes spouting "Five by five" made me nearly wake my family with laughter).
Angelus finds out a slayer is in town. He calls Dawn and since Buffy's where she's supposed to be, he figures it's the other one. Faith meets the gang, the gang meets Faith. They go hunting. Connor and Faith fights over how to handle Angelus (Connor's a bit hasty with the stake, Faith wants Angelus alive) and of course Connor takes a liking to the bad girl. Then Faith gets her ass kicked by The Beast. Then Angelus stabs The Beast with the knife that "Cordy" killed Lilah with. Which results in Beast dead, sun back. Angelus is still on the loose however (just how did he get from the warehouse in full daylight?).
Then "Cordy" tells Connor she's pregnant (yeah, we noticed). Which is weird since it can't be more than a few days in the Angelverse since Apocalypse, Nowish. Of course, nothing's normal with "Cordy" any longer. I have a bet that says she's the first corporeal version of The First and that the real Cordy's long dead or trapped in another dimension.
Also, Lorne uses his old Caritas-spell to make sure no demon makes violence in the hotel, in order to protect home base from Angelus.
I really like the ep, the only real let down is Wes using the word "champion" (PLEASE don't use it, at least for a week! Okay, guys?). Otherwise it's good to be free. It's also good to have Eliza Dushku back in action. I said (and I know I wasn't the only one) from the beginning that Connor/"Cordy" sex was just a way to explain away Charisma Carpenter's pregnancy, but I hope it goes to evil lengths now (maybe Connor will find out just what it's like to have a hellspawn of his own. Then he won't be such a bitch towards his father any longer). Slimy, ugly, evil depths. Death and torment. Fire and brimstone (no, wait, we've been there).
Also, Faith should meet Gwen, they'd be like sisters.
Oh, and Alexis Denisof and James Marsters should be Hollywood's biggest pair of asskicking actors. They're way cooler than any of the so called "action heroes" that we have today. And definitely much better actors.
I'm getting off track (no way!) but Salvage is really good and Angel Season 4 is continuing to rock, just like it has since the beginning of 2003. Good show!
Ett till underbart avsnitt. Dte var så mycket i det som var helt lysande. Faith är tillbaka, freakin fantastic!
Och att Wes blev tvungen att... jag kan inte tänka mig något värre. Angel har blivit en hemsk serie. Hemskt bra alltså! 
Även om jag gråter och lider med karaktärer så är det fruktansvärt bra när det är tragiskt!
